Saturday, Sept 14 9:00 am – 2:00 pm Prenatal
– Uterine Function
– Signs of Pre-term Labor
– Process of Labor and Birth
– 2 Videos: Unmedicated labor and Planned Epidural
– Medications: Epidural, Nitrous and IV Meds
Wednesday, Sept 18 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm Baby Safety: What to Expect When you are Done Expecting!
– A local pediatrician will facilitate this class
– Session will prepare parents for situations that arise in the first moments of life, days and weeks at home…When do you call a doctor? How do you know if your baby is getting enough to eat? How do you manage common emergencies? What about the basics like swaddling and bathing?
– Session will address safety – water safety, sun safety, and pet safety. CPR is introduced, but this is not a certification course.
– Resources will be provided for couples interested in understanding charting & the body with Natural Family Planning post-baby.

– Veteran Parents/ Babies
– Cesarean and Induction
– Tour of Labor and Delivery
– Postpartum: Hospital Stay and First Day at Home
Thursday, Sept 26 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm Journey to Parenthood – St. Raphael Counselor
– Discusses the imminent post-partum experience, communication skills, parental expectations and changing identities for both partners. Pregnant and non-pregnant partners will spend the evening in separate groups facilitated by skilled professionals and returning parents.
Saturday, Sept 28 9:00 am – 12:00 pm Catholicism – Faith in Your Home & Brunch Pot Luck with Veteran Catholic Couple
– *Tentative 9am Mass in Rose Chapel* Near main building Rose Babies entrance
– Catholic Family Traditions in the liturgical calendar & fostering a Catholic home
– Prayer (with child & spouse)
– Power of choosing your baby’s name
