The Marriage Course
The Marriage Course was designed by Nicki & Shila Lee in 1996. The Lees are on the staff at Holy Trinity Brompton, the London church that started the Alpha course.
The Marriage Course is a parish-based program of eight weekly sessions designed to help any married couple strengthen their relationship. It’s a great opportunity to spend time together as a couple looking at the important issues in your marriage. Each week childcare is provided and you are given the opportunity to enjoy a special meal together and listen to a talk. Then there is plenty of time to discuss the topic as a couple.
The Marriage Course is now being run in 28 countries. It is an extremely effective and enjoyable program that any parish can implement with ease.
Contact your local parish for more information.
Couples For Christ
Couples for Christ (CFC) is a parish-based program intended for the renewal and strengthening of Christian family life. Through the 12 week, Christian Life Program members learn to commit themselves to the Lord and to one another so that they may grow in maturity as men and women of God and fulfill their primary vocation of raising up families under the Lordship of Jesus Christ.
Once the Christian Life Program is completed you are invited to join a cell group called a household of about 4 to 6 couples who meet weekly for encouragement and mutual support in the Christian life.

Worldwide Marriage Encounter/ Encuentro Matrimanial Mundial
Worldwide Marriage Encounter offers a weekend experience designed to give married couples the opportunity to learn a technique of loving communication that they can use for the rest of their lives. It’s a chance to look deeply into their relationship with each other and with God. It’s a time to share their feelings, hopes and dreams with each other. The emphasis of the Marriage Encounter weekend is on the communication between husbands and wives. The weekend provides a conducive environment for couples to spend time together, away from the distractions and tensions of everyday life, while encouraging them to focus on each other and their relationship. It’s not a retreat, marriage clinic, group sensitivity, or a substitute for counseling. It’s a unique approach aimed at revitalizing Marriage. This is a time for you and your spouse to be alone together, to rediscover each other and together focus on your relationship for an entire weekend. Every marriage deserves that kind of attention!

Beloved – Finding Happiness in Marriage
from the Augustine Institute
In 12 sessions, Beloved explores the true meaning of Marriage and how to live it out together. Here you’ll discover the deepest spiritual, emotional and practical realities of Marriage through Scripture, Tradition and Church Teaching. You’ll see first-hand how to experience the wonder, mystery and joy of this Sacrament – from that first “I do” through the rest of your lives.
A convalidation is needed when one or two baptized Catholics enter into a marriage which is invalid and the couple now wishes to make the marriage valid. Typically, the marriage was invalid due to lack of form, which means that a Catholic did not exchange vows before an authorized priest/deacon and did not receive dispensation to do so. In other words, the couple was married in a non-Catholic ceremony (e.g., before a justice of the peace, minister, rabbi, etc.) without permission from the Catholic Church.
The canonical form of marriage is required, only when the marriage involves at least one Catholic party. If your marriage was formed between two non-Catholics and, consequently, was celebrated outside of a Catholic ceremony, you do not need to seek convalidation, even when one or both parties are entering the Church. The marriage is considered valid since the form was appropriate to your status at that time.
See your parish priest or deacon for more information if you would like to seek a convalidation of your marriage.

Men’s Porn Addiction Recovery Group – Group Counseling
This is a highly confidential group of men, 18 years and older, who desire personal, spiritual, relational and physical restoration from pornography. Group therapy is different from accountability groups, small group bible studies, etc. We focus on the core issues related to addictions, while at the same time address masculinity and sexuality from a therapeutic, restorative and Catholic perspective.
Women Affected by Pornography – Group Counseling
At St. Raphael Counseling, we believe that God desires to reestablish a woman’s sense of dignity that has been wounded by men’s addiction to pornography. Many times, women are left wondering, “Is this my fault?” “Why does he prefer pornography to me?” “Why am I not enough?” Rather than meeting these women with guilt and shame, we know that God seeks to answer these questions, and to restore them to the truth of their own inherent goodness and beauty.
