Preparation for the Marian consecration should follow the structure of Learn, Pray, Imitate.
The most important part of developing a love for Our Lady is to learn more about her virtues. The Archdiocese of Denver will release a twice-weekly video series beginning Sept. 21 that will focus on the virtues of Mary Our Mother.
Sept. 21: Marian Moment #1: The Simplicity of Mary
Sept. 26: Marian Moment #2: Abandonment to the Will of God
Sept. 28: Marian Moment #3: Mary’s Love for the Cross
Oct. 3: Marian Moment #4: Mary’s Love for Souls
Oct. 6: Marian Moment #5: Heart of Mary
Oct 9: Archbishop’s Message
This video series was funded by the 2017 National Catholic Society of Foresters Communication Grant.
An act of consecration is a spiritual act, which means that we must make a daily commitment to prepare ourselves spiritually. Our updates will offer suggestions for prayers and Scripture passages.

Our Lady is the model of all Christian virtue. Pick the virtue or virtues that you most admire in Mary, and do one act each day that seeks to imitate Our Lady. Our updates will offer suggestions of virtues to imitate in Our Lady.
Simple ways of imitating Our Lady include listening to a friend or family member who needs to talk, doing a hidden act of charity at work, being patient with a toddler, letting your spouse have the last word, or spending an extra five minutes after Mass to give thanks. The possibilities are endless.
