Our Christian Obligation to Tithe
As Christians, we are called to give back to God a portion of what He has generously given to us. A tithe is a donation of 10% of one’s annual earnings in support of the Church or other charitable causes. Tithing is rooted in the Bible, and is an act of faith and obedience, reflecting our trust in God’s provision and our commitment to supporting His work on Earth.
One formula suggests donating 5% of our annual income to our parish, 3% to other charities, and 2% to the archdiocese through a gift to the Archbishop’s Catholic Appeal.
By contributing to the Archbishop’s Catholic Appeal, you fulfill this sacred obligation and help sustain the vital ministries that nurture faith, provide education, and offer essential services to those in need.
With a gift of just $84 per month, you’ll become a Nine Choirs of Angels donor!
The Nine Choirs of Angels Leadership Giving Society includes over 2,300 members of our faithful who donate $1,000 plus or practice $84 or more of consistent monthly contributions. By giving monthly, you will also join our Loaves & Fish Society, which provides exclusive discounts and news. Support our vital ministries actively sharing the Gospel with a donation of $1,000 plus or a monthly gift of $84 or more today.
The “Nine Choirs of Angels” Levels of Leadership Giving was created as a guide to assist donors in offering a stewardship based gift. Stewardship is the realization that everything we have – our families, possessions, careers – is a free and unmerited gift from God. This year, a record number of contributors have enthusiastically embraced the call to stewardship. And for this, we are very grateful.
