Pilgrimage Series Talks
September 7 | 6 PM | Cathedral Basilica of the Immaculate Conception
Join Fr. Doug Grandon for our next talk in our speaker series for the Eucharistic Revival! Fr. Grandon will be sharing his 10 year journey to the Catholic faith! After hearing and coming to believe the Gospel at the age of 14, he married his now wife, Lynn, and became a priest in the Episcopal church. In 2003, he and his family entered into full communion with the church and in 2008, Pope Benedict granted permission for him to be ordained a married Catholic Priest! Come and learn more about Father’s 10 year journey into the Catholic faith. The talk will begin at 6 PM at the Cathedral
September 12 | 6 PM | St. John the Evangelist (YUMA) – This talk will be in Spanish
Join us at St. John the Evangelist in YUMA for another Eucharistic Revival Pilgrimage Series talk! This talk will be in Spanish! Linda Platt will be speaking on “The Eucharist: font of grace and mystery of our faith.” This talk will be centered on how the Eucharist was prefigured in the History of Salvation of the People of God, and how each one of us enter mystically in this story, in our present time, through the Liturgy. Saint John Paul II, in his encyclical Ecclesia de Eucharistia (no. 11), said: “What more could Jesus have done for us? Truly, in the Eucharist, he shows us a love which goes ‘to the end’ (cf. Jn 13:1), a love which knows no measure.” Adoration will begin at 6 PM and the talk will be at 7 PM.
