PLEASE DO NOT BRING CHILDREN UNDER AGE 16 TO THESE CLASSES.
This is a program for adults on the prevention of child sex abuse.
16- and 17-year-olds may attend with parent/guardian permission only.
For past Safe Environment training certificates or to complete a 5 year refresher:
Please contact your parish and ask for the Safe Environment Coordinator for further instructions on how to access your record at www.VIRTUS.org
The current Safe Environment online refresher course is titled “Vulnerable Adults”.
By signing the Archdiocese of Denver Code of Conduct, the individual is agreeing to be a mandated reporter for not only child and youth abuse and neglect, but also for at-risk-adult and elder abuse and neglect.
This Vulnerable Adults Training is a way to formally introduce the subject matter and at the same time refresh our commitment to keeping all of the most vulnerable safe from harm.
For those interested in additional child focused training, your VIRTUS account provides an extensive library of resources under the “Toolbox” tab.
