ARCHDIOCESE OF DENVER WORKS WITH CITY ON USE OF MULLEN HOME
The Archdiocese of Denver looks at options to help house migrants

DENVER – The Archdiocese of Denver and the City of Denver are working together on whether the Mullen Home (formerly known as the Mullen Home for the Aged – Little Sisters of the Poor Denver) is a viable option to help house migrant families.  Representatives from the Archdiocese will meet with several members of City leadership this afternoon at the property to jointly assess what can be done to make Mullen Home a support for this effort.  As the property only recently came under the Archdiocese’s possession and some parts of the building are over 100-years-old, we need to ensure we can receive people safely.

The archdiocese is aware of the dire need for housing and support for the hundreds of migrants pouring into Denver.  As God reminds us, we share our blessings and help those in need any way we can.  We applaud the extraordinary work already being done by Catholic Charities during this humanitarian crisis.  As soon as we have more information, we will send an update.
