Emmaus Initiative

EFLM

What is the Emmaus Initiative?

Marriage preparation leaders and sponsor couples will be given formation to learn how to adopt more of an Apostolic Mindset and Biblical Worldview to intentionally walk with engaged couples with the goal of leading them to an Initial Conversion. The Emmaus Initiative will use a model of intentional accompaniment to Witness, Proclaim, Equip, and Commission engaged couples so they can be given the opportunity to become Missionary Disciples for the church in this apostolic age that we are currently living.

Emmaus (mentor) couples will be formed so they can grow in confidence to build Trust, and present opportunities, so engaged couples can grow in curiosity about the Catholic faith, and to lead engaged couples to an openness and seeking about what life and how a relationship with Jesus is seen as vital to flourish in their lives and marriage.

The Emmaus accompaniment Initiative strives to respond to the world today by offering formation for couples who work with engaged couples to grow in the joy of being a new generation of builders of God’s kingdom in this world today. We will endeavor to this by giving opportunities for each builder to grow in authenticity with their Christian life and equip them with tools to intentionally accompany and disciple engaged couples to an initial or deeper conversion towards Christ.
