NCYC: El Camino | The Way
November 14-17th, 2024 • Long Beach, CA
Open to students in grades 9 through 12 during the Fall of 2024
The National Catholic Youth Conference is an exciting, biennial three-day experience of prayer, community, and empowerment for Catholic teenagers and their adult chaperones. The schedule includes keynote addresses, concurrent and workshop sessions addressing a wide variety of topics. There are also opportunities for liturgy, reconciliation, prayer and worship, recreation and special activities such as concerts, exhibits, and the interactive thematic park.
Every other year, Catholic young people and their chaperones—youth ministers, campus ministers, parents, catechists, priests, coaches, and scout leaders—come together to pray, learn, and grow in their faith. In addition to opportunities to receive the sacraments of the Eucharist and penance, NCYC participants attend general and breakout sessions on topics relevant to living as a disciple of Christ in today’s world, visit with organizations that provide resources and other support to youth and youth ministry, spend time in personal and communal prayer, and engage in service to others.
“But with your own eyes you shall see your Teacher, And your ears shall hear a word behind you: “This is the way; walk in it.”” – IS 30:18-21
This year’s theme, El Camino | The Way, is inspired by Isaiah 30:21 and the idea that we are called to be pilgrims of faith and follow the voice of Christ: Young people across the country have expressed their thoughts on the idea that walking in faith can be hard at times, there are moments of joy and there are moments of frustration, just like there are deserts and mountains. We invite you to enter into pilgrimage to NCYC.
